There are times in our lives when certain people enter it at the exact right time and make our existence that much easier and enjoyable. Acara Kada from See Spot Run Dogwalking Services was that person for Kim and I.
I travel a lot for work and Kim’s position in the film industry involves months of very long days; all of this meant our very sensitive, very sweet pug, Papi #papiThePug, spent days of the week where she was home alone for too many hours for our liking.
I happened to meet Acara at Tail Blazers in Copperfield by chance. I was buying dog food and Acara was saving a lost dog (of course!). The people at Tail Blazers said Acara was the best dog walker around. Funny, I needed a dog walker!
When we first contacted Acara we were just looking for someone to stop by our house and let Papi out a few times a day. We got so much more than that.
Acara is not a dog walker, she’s not a dog sitter, she’s not a dog trainer… she’s part of our family.
From the very beginning Acara’s professionalism and attention to detail is amazing. When she first enters your home to meet your dog and go over your needs and her guidelines to take you as a client you feel nothing but trust in her.
Acara provided Papi with so much: hours of fun with a pack, a pack leader, a constant assortment of places to explore and be, well, a dog.
As we prepare to move away from Calgary, Kim, Papi and I will obviously miss our family and friends, but Acara has become both and we will truly miss her.

Acara has been walking my two dogs since last summer and I find her to be excellent. She is reliable and conscientious and has a great work ethic. She demonstrates skill when working with my dogs and is a very caring individual. One of my dogs is a year old and was a rescue with residual fears. Acara has successfully integrated her into the `pack`and my dog now will play with other dogs and is much more at ease and confident. My older dog was very assertive and was pulling at the leash on walks. Acara has worked walking on leash with her and I am amazed at the progress that I see in her on-leash walking. Acara will incorporate word signals already known to my dogs when she has them and I have used and integrated techniques that she has found successful. Acara will also share with me what she notices in my dogs on their walks which is also very helpful.
The biggest testament is how happy and calm my dogs are after they have been out walking with Acara. I highly recommend Acara as a dogwalker. When my dogs are with Acara I am confident that they are cared for and that their needs are being met in the very best way.

Acara is amazing! Our dog Murph had back issues and due to that issue started biting at 5 years old. Acara met Murph and took him in. He loved her, Luie and the pack. He would get so jacked when she and the other dogs came to take him to the park. Our new pup Owen is crazy about Acara and the pack! When she comes into the house he goes nuts! Back in 2009 Acara came to meet our then 6 month old lab Fischer. Although he was a complete nut and so out of control she was brave enough to take him in her pack and give him a chance when other dog walkers wouldn't lol. She taught him so much and took him back home exhausted everyday( which seemed impossible to do) Today Fischer and our other dog Zuri still walk with her and still absolutely adore her!!
